Harlem Wellness Center has three ways of serving the community 1) on site at partner organizations for their constituents 2) at our own location (currently relocating) 3) pop up locations. MONDAYS:

6:30pm Donation Based Community Yoga 

Highly experienced teacher, VICTOR CHAVEZ, will lead you through a yoga sequence that combines breathing and alignment based traditional yoga poses for strength, flexibility, empowerment and relaxation. Enjoyable for beginners and experienced practitioners. If you’re looking to build a strong practice in a warm and friendly environment JCC Harlem 318 W. 118th St. between 8th Avenue and Manhattan Avenue. Mats are available.

TUESDAYS:

 7:00 am Walk For Life

Get your day off to a fresh and active start!  Our walking goals include improving our cardiovascular health, burning calories, maintaining healthy cholesterol levels, and a lowering risk of heart disease. All walking paces are welcome- no one will be left behind. Bring a friend or make a new one. Meet at Harlem Tavern/corner of 116th and 8th Ave. for 7am take off. *Call 646-682-7993 if you need help finding us.

SENIORS ON THE MOVE:

Tuesdays:  Zumba-tastic w/Electra, gentle dance to upbeat world (African, Caribbean, Latin), and contemporary pop music. Filled with fun and camaraderie you’ll forget it’s exercise!

Wednesdays: This chair based class combines yoga, resistance training and mindfulness meditation to build strength, agility, balance, flexibility and a peaceful state of mind.  Special activities include healthy eating, guided meditation, and health games.

Thursdays: Zumba-tastic w/ Antonia, gentle dance to upbeat world (African, Caribbean, Latin), and contemporary pop music. Filled with fun and camaraderie you’ll forget it’s exercise!
